The Moorish Villa is located in a very small French community with less than 800 inhabitants. A single-story, square villa at the top of a high terrace in the middle of a wooded hill. The villa was built between 1881 and 1885 by a very well-known Parisian architect.
It was the house of a writer and was even the setting for one of his novels.
It was about the enmity between him and another writer. However, the author swapped the names of those involved. It then got to the point where the other person recognized himself and challenged the writer to a duel. However, this duel never took place.
The last sale dates back to 1929. What happened to the villa afterwards and how long it has been empty is unfortunately not known. It is currently up for sale and will be auctioned off.
